Technical Business Analyst Role and Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the enhancement of Finance and IT control environments. This role is key to strengthening governance, improving risk visibility, and supporting compliance.
You will work across critical initiatives including Privileged Access Monitoring (PAM), Segregation of Duties (SoD), and Log Gap Analysis—partnering with technology, risk, and business teams to deliver control improvements.
What you’ll do:
Gather and document business and technical requirements across IT control initiatives
Analyse privileged access, user roles, and system logs to identify control gaps and risk exposure
Conduct Segregation of Duties (SoD) assessments and support remediation planning
Perform log gap analysis across systems to ensure adequate monitoring and compliance
Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights and documentation
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, and Business teams
Support audit and regulatory requirements through high-quality reporting and evidence
What you need:
Experience in technology risk, IT controls, security, or governance programmes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret access models, logs, and technical data
Experience working with datasets (Excel, SQL, or similar tools)
Understanding of privileged access, IAM, SIEM, or logging frameworks
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable skills
Experience with IAM/PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk)
Knowledge of SoD frameworks or SOX controls
Exposure to cloud platforms and logging/monitoring tools
