• Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the Software Development Director will lead the Software Development team, fostering a customer-focused, performance-driven, team-oriented, and innovative culture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership across software applications and development methodologies.
• Foster a customer-first, high-performance, and collaborative team environment.
• Partner with product/business owners to deliver features that meet market and customer needs.
• Develop and mentor software development talent, promoting career growth.
• Drive productivity and value engineering to meet customer commitments.
• Report delivery progress to stakeholders, including the CTO and Executive Leadership.
• Enhance and manage metrics to track software delivery and performance.
• Ensure adherence to Best-In-Class development methodologies and bring external insights to improve practices.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
• Strong expertise in software development methodologies, practices, and theories.
• Track record of managing medium to large software development teams.
• Skilled at building collaborative relationships across all levels and functions.
• Adept at balancing competing priorities in complex business environments.
• Excellent communicator capable of maintaining alignment internally and externally.
• 10–15+ years of experience in software development management within software or SaaS product companies.
• Prior experience as a Manager-of-Managers is an advantage.
