What’s involved:

Design, develop, and maintain databases ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.
Optimize in-application PL/SQL statements as needed and establish best practices.
Develop new database-centric functionalities for existing software products.
Create technical and architectural documentation and provide instructions throughout the program development lifecycle.
Provide expertise in the full development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
Advise on Oracle features and recommend best practices for PL/SQL development.
Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of databases and contribute to the re-architecture and refactoring of legacy systems.
Ensure data consistency, clear definition, and accessibility while maintaining security and recovery control measures.
Design database schemes, tables, and servers, setting appropriate user permissions.
Create shell scripts and perform timely database backups.
Generate and manage reports as required.

What you need:

7+ years of experience
Oracle Database Design & Development
Designing and building Oracle database schemas, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
Oracle PL/SQL development, including:
Oracle Built-in Packages, Bulk Collect/Insert, Array Processing, Ref Cursors.
Dynamic SQL – use of literal and bind variables.
Application Tuning for optimal database performance.
Scripting to generate views, procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, constraints, and packages.
SQL tuning and Oracle query optimization using cost-based optimizers and other query tools.
Logical and physical database design and implementation.
Building and maintaining large-scale databases in a development environment.
Must hold valid working visa – stamp 4/ Irish Citizenship / EU
