Project Manager Role and Responsibilities:
This role will see the successful candidate responsible for planning, managing and delivering projects, from initiation to close, which meet agreed business and technical objectives within time, cost and quality standards
What’s involved:
Maintain an appropriate project governance structure and effective communication processes for all assigned projects in Cards Change Delivery
Follow the Banks standard project management framework, setting out the reporting, control and escalation mechanisms and incorporating the necessary internal approval mechanisms as required
Manage project issues, risks, dependencies and change control within agreed processes, and update Business Case accordingly, to ensure delivery of project results within the agreed scope
Manage the project budgets on behalf of the Executive Sponsor/Cards Change Delivery Lead, monitoring and reporting the costs against the delivered and realised benefits
Provide the necessary reports on project status to Delivery Support Project Initiation
Collate all information and produce and maintain the Project Documentation and Project Plans and agree these with associated Business Owners
Monitor the overall project progress, resolving issues, initiating corrective action and referring major issues upwards to the Programme Manager / Cards Change Delivery Lead as appropriate
Co-ordinate and foster teamwork and manage the knowledge and skills transfer within the project
Ensure robust estimates are in place and agreed with the Programme Manager/Cards Change Delivery Lead
Communicate with all stakeholders and develop the change management/training plan for the business
What you need:
7+ years’ Project Management experience
Strong knowledge of the Cards business within Financial Services
In-depth knowledge of project processes, software development cycle, compliance, regulatory and implementation standards
Proven ability to engage with, and leverage, partners to deliver the project
Strong familiarity with quality management concepts and their application
