Finance Analyst Public Sector

  • Location: Dublin (Hybrid, 1 day a week in office)

What’s Involved:

  • As a Project Coordinator supporting the IT function, you will handle critical tasks to ensure the financial integrity and efficiency of the client's IT department. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Invoice Processing: Create purchase orders, review, validate, and process IT-related invoices, and liaise with vendors and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure accuracy of financial data. Support the IT PMO and participate in regular meetings to discuss financial performance, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Help prepare and maintain financial reports, assist with budget vs. actual analysis, and support financial planning and cost management for IT projects.
  • Project Manager Support: Assist IT project managers with monthly financial extracts, maintain financial trackers, and provide support on financial queries for ongoing and planned projects.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
  • Effective communication skills to work across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in IT finance or a tech environment is a plus, as is knowledge of project management tools like JIRA.
