Azure Network Engineer – Permanent, North Dublin

Our client is a well-known e-commerce platform looking for a Network Engineer to join the network sub-team of the overall infrastructure team .

Role and Responsibilities:

·        Network installations including Cisco Routers, ASAs, Switches

·        Administration and Monitoring of Azure and Hybrid Networking environments

·        Administration of DDoS platform

·        Managing the security posture.

·        Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.

·        Participating in responding to security incidents.

·        Implementing new security measures on the Azure cloud.

·        Using networking and virtualization to improve cybersecurity measures.

·        Taking part in the design of new technology.

What you need:

Experience:

·        Enterprise networking, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure, and network security.

·        Understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, such as VMs and virtual networking.

·        Practical experience in the administration of Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments.

·        Strong familiarity with compute, network, and storage in Azure.

Collaboration:

·        Ability to collaborate with architects, administrators, and developers to plan and implement solutions that meet security and compliance requirements.

·        Experience working in a team to implement and support networks and end-users.

Technical Skills:

·        Knowledge of various Cisco networking technologies, including IP routing, switching, and wireless access points.

·        Familiarity with remote access tools, user VPNs, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

·        Experience with network installations, including Cisco Routers, ASAs, and Switches.

·        Familiarity with Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections.
