Senior Agile Project Manager – Perm  Role and Responsibilities:

Role reports to the programme manager. The successful agile project manager will likely come from a IT delivery background within a waterfall environment and have moved in recent years into a fully Agile delivery / scrum role. You will have the proven ability to deliver large enterprise IT projects in a fully agile FS environment (regulatory / process improvement / software development). You will also have all the capabilities / competencies of an excellent Scrum Master. The candidate is this role must be willing and capable of taking on additional significant responsibilities supporting the Senior IT Leadership team and be looking to advance their career quickly in that direction. You will therefore have a strategic mindset as well as day to day hands on agile delivery skills.

What’s involved:

  • Understand and manage all aspects of the scrum team deliverables, be up to speed with all areas/issues and be able to represent the team to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies during the initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and Agile practices.
  • Conducting stand-ups, managing project deliverables, informing stakeholders, removing impediments, solving problems and hosting team meetings
  • As a member of the IT Leadership team, the candidate will need to be willing and able to contribute to the strategic goals of the business by acting as communications  liaison with senior IT management .
  • Represent the team through all areas of communication with key stakeholders including verbal, written reports, presentations, steering committees etc

What you need:

  • 7 + years’ project management delivery experience with more recent experience in fully Agile environment.
  • Background in Financial Services , banking / insurance / pensions.
  • You will need to be able to provide real life examples of leadership, planning & organising, influencing, relationship building.
  • Proven leader with demonstrable planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Certified Scrum Master & professional project management accreditation
  • Relevant 3rd level IT degree is desirable
